Travelling with toddler: KL 2

Yesterday, we went to pick up Chachu from KL Sentral and (not surprised) the Burger King inside KL Sentral opposite KLIA transit did not have AC. Zayyan fell asleep as soon as we reached Nu Sentral. I sat at a cool Haagen Daze while Zayyan napped on the plush couch and daddy and Khala went to get Chachu. It was pleasant to see the wonderful new AC mall in KL Sentral. Back in the days, KL Sentral was simple and just the central train station. They built a “new” mall around it.

Anyway, today started with planning to buy the pram FIRST as carrying him around would make one of us have bad backs!

The highlight of of this trip can’t be bought, but only felt. It was the moment, Chachu and Zayyan met this morning. The very first time they met and it was an instant connection. And so Zayyan’s day started walking to Suria KLCC for brunch in Chachu’s arms. Zayyan seemed to own KLCC. He ran everywhere, and was mesmerised with the red and cherry blossom decorations. The water works in front of KLCC was his favourite. He did not want to leave and looked like nothing could make him happier than taking a dip in the fountain.

While I wanted to take LRT to Mid Valley Megamall from KLCC (I was hoping I’d find a stroller shop there). it was far less hassle to grab a Grab! 6 seater cost us rm. 32.

After a tummy full of chicken rice from KLCC wearrived in Midvalley Megamall. A very long time ago, I worked here with family and it was nostalgic!

My sister was a whiz to find stores with strollers. While I was here 12 years ago, Carrefour was the big hypermarket, now it was Aeon. I leapt with joy when I found strollers starting from rm. 150 ONLY. And now there was no stopping me!

Equipped with my new pram, which was much better than the lousy ebay one I bought and left at home, I strutted around Midvalley.

After some yummy fresh fruit Rojak and a few chinese sweet buns we returned to the comfy apartment for some rest.

Next stop was Bukit Bintang!
We left at about 7 for the Hill of the Stars with my new stroller and Zayyan swinging his feet in glee. We took Monorail from Bukit Nanas.

I did not have to hand Zayyan any tabs because MY GAWD, he was already hyptonised by the big screens and amazing loud music.

We walked the Bintang walk, and to our surprise found the sticky middle eastern ice-cream seller at Al Amar express.

Zayyan seemed happy to watch but when he joined in for the trick, he was NOT happy. He looked offended and the ice-cream seller handed the ice cream to Chachu for him.

So, Zayyan in his baby stroller gota taste of Chinese New Year at Bukit Bintang. He absolutely was stunned to see the wonderful water falls and beautiful CNY decor in front of the Pavillion.

Then it was time to call it a night after a quick bite.

After returning home, Zayyan simply fell asleep…leaving time for mommy to prepare for the next big adventure!
